I own a pretty old Sony Trinitron TV. It worked fine, but now whenever I try to turn it on it attempts to power on and just makes a little noise and than it shuts off. Any help or suggestions on how this could be fixed? Thanks!

You either have a problem with the low voltage power supply or the horizontal oscillator output transistor is defective.
