Well, the website is INTELLIGENT enough to know the Serial number is either incorrect or the purchase date does not match the day it was purchased…..
You have to be very concise with the information you give it, so it’s best to verify the model, serial number and make sure you have the exact purchase date as the bar code is scanned by the store…
IF you put the information in there CORRECTLY and it still comes back saying it can’t register it, then it is a rare possibility that it may have been an open box sale and the previous customer already registered it….
THAT situation or any other situation would require a phone call to Sony’s customer care hotline to get it taken care of.
Get online and go to ChannelME.TV (See Resources). Once you are on the page, you need to search for the name that you want. Find the “search availability” box and put in what you are looking for. After you do that you will be directed to another page telling you if your name is available or other choices if it is already taken. If it is still available, then grab it. If it isn’t that means someone else got to it first. Don’t worry because there will be suggestions close to the name that you wanted. If none of them appeal to you, you can start over and search another name that interests you.
Step2Next, pick the name that best suites your channel and put it in your cart. You can choose to purchase one, two or three years. Once you have decided, hit the orange bottom on the bottom that says “checkout.”
Step3Now you have to add your info. Account name, password, billing info etc. Make sure everything is correct. Hit “continue” and get ready to enter your credit card information.
Step4Enter your credit card information and then you are one step away from owning your very own .TV channel.
Step5If everything is entered correct and your credit card goes through you now own your very own .TV channel, now all you have to do is set it up.
