it isn’t HD have you checked the settings of the ps3 maybe u set the screen on HD and not on SD (standard definition ) so try to put it back on SD it might work !!
first set your ps3 to standard 4/3 instead of 16/9. second set your resolution on the ps3 to 480i. third use your tv’s remote or tv button to keep the aspect ration how you want it. fourth turn OFF upconverting for videos and games respectively.
